Soprano Lucy Crowe has just
completed her final year on the Royal Academy Opera course. She graduated
with a distinction and was also awarded the DipRAM, which is awarded
for an outstanding Final Recital. She is the Gold Medallist of the Royal
Overseas League music competition 2002. Recent performances include
Gounod's Messe Solonelle in St Sulpice and the |Messiah at the Royal
Albert HAll both under Sir David Willcocks and Dido and Aeneas (Spirit),
at the BBC Proms 2003 with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment.
She has given recitals at the Wigmore Hall, St Martin in the Fields,
the Norfolk and Norwich Festival, Chelsea Arts Club and the National
Portrait Gallery. She has also recently performed Wolf's Italienisches
Liederbuch at the Belfast Festival with Julius Drake. Future engagements
include Bach's Magnificat with the Northern Sinfonia under Thomas Zehetmair,
Mendelssohn's Elijah at the Leith Hill Music Festival and Bach's St
Matthew Passion at St George's Hanover Square.
