At only 25 years of age, Rodney
Clarke has already made a considerable impact on British opera. Since
he graduated from the Royal Academy of Music, appearances have included
The monk (The Black Monk) with the Sirius Ensemble, 2nd Prisoner (Fidelio)
at the Glyndebourne Festival, and the Theatre du Chatelet and Junius
(The Rape of Lucretia) with British Youth Opera.
Rodney Clarke's recordings include the BBC Worldwide World Cup theme, Pavanne, tune for Telstar; The End, from The Doors Concerto (Kennedy)
on DECCA and Au fond de temple saint (Pecheurs de Perles) for Channel
4 Television.
Future engagements include Tancredi (Tancredi), the Ferryman (Curlew
River) with Graham Vick's Birmingham Opera Company, Figaro (Le Nozze
de Figaro) with English Touring Opera, and Speaker and Priest (Die Zauberflote)
with the Savoy Theatre Opera.
