May 10th is 100th anniversary of Richard's birth

If Richard Lewis were still alive then today, May 10th 2014, would have been his 100th birthday and although sadly he is not with us, he would hopefully be proud of the enjoyment his career and recordings continue to create, and the work of the charity established in his and Jean Shanks' name.

In almost a month's time a concert will take place in Manchester with the Halle orchestra and choir to mark his centenary at which friends, former colleagues and family of his will attend. If you would like to attend the event then tickets can be booked via the Halle booking website page.
