An amazing recital featuring Poulenc, Britten and Loewe was held at the Royal Academy of Music (RAM) on Wednesday 1st May performed the two winners from last year’s Jean Shanks/Richards Lewis Trust Award competition.
2018 award winner Baritone Paul Grant and the Webb Piano prize winner Shiori Hosoda performed 19 pieces by the three composers in the RAM’s 120-seat David Josefowitz Recital Hall hall at 7pm during a public performance.
This year’s winners were also in attendance including the winner mezzo-soprano Yuki Akamoto, 2nd price winner Michael Ronan, song prize mezzo-soprano Bernadette Johns and Webb prize winner Benjamin Mead. Richard Lewis's son Nigel represented the charity at the event.
